James Clifford, MD, is an Endocrinology and Internal Medicine physician. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Cell and Structural Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2002) and received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago - Stritch School of Medicine (2006). Dr. Clifford completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Naval Medical Center San Diego (2009) and served as an attending physician in Internal Medicine from 2009 – 2013.
Dr. Clifford completed his sub-specialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2015 and served as an attending physician in Endocrinology at Naval Medical Center San Diego since 2015. He is board certified in Endocrinology and also serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Dr. Clifford carries the distinction as both a Fellow in the American College of Endocrinology and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He is licensed to practice in AZ, CA and IN.
