Dr. Faiza Laleka is an accomplished nephrology and internal medicine physician with over 20 years of experience who is joining nodSpecialists as a Department Lead for Nephrology. She received her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College (2001) and she completed her residency in internal medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in 2006 (New York). Dr. Laleka’s fellowship in nephrology (2016) was from Cedar Sinai Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and is currently practicing nephrology, geriatric medicine and internal medicine in Arizona (Phoenix). Dr. Laleka carries the distinction of being a fellow in the American Society of Nephrology and a member of the American College of Physicians. She is licensed to practice in Arizona, California, and Colorado. As a nephrologist, geriatrician and internal medicine provider, Dr. Laleka has a broad perspective as she diagnoses and treats various diseases and conditions affecting kidneys and kidney failure, and how kidney functions affect other parts of a patient’s body. Dr. Laleka’s personal interests include reading books, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Laleka said she joined nodSpecialists for three main reasons: “to reach a broader base of patients, to offer a higher level of accessibility to healthcare (especially for patients in remote and underserved areas) and to enhance patient convenience with healthcare.”
